Meet the Team

Tarinder SandhuTarinder Sandhu, Founder & Publisher

Born and bred in Leamington Spa, Tarinder has had the will but not the guts to leave his home town.

After spending too long in academia, he decided time was better spent travelling, so began a five-month trek around India.

First of many, the travel bug has never truly left him, and it’s serendipitous his two passions – technology and travel – coalesced into a 20-year career in IT journalism.

When not behind a PC or lost up a mountain somewhere remote, you can find him hacking around golf courses and sampling delights of ale houses – oftentimes one after the other!

Parm Mann, Founder & Editor-in-chief

Parm’s digital adventures began back in 1989, when his brother brought home the Amiga 500 Batman Pack.

There was never any turning back. In the ’90s he built his first PC having sourced components – Pentium CPU and 3DFX graphics – from the computer market at Wolverhampton racecourse. Those were the days.

Many, many, builds later, his enthusiasm for all forms of technology has never been stronger, despite having worked in the industry for the best part of two decades!

Outside of tech, Parm is also a keen woodworker and loves to travel with his wife and newborn daughter.

Damien MasonDamien Mason, Senior Hardware Editor

Damien is proof that it’s never too late to switch from consoles, building his first PC at 19. Originally intended to edit video for his Film and Television Production degree, he’s since been bitten by the upgrade bug and hasn’t looked back.

Exploring the niche corners of gaming tech, he enjoys asking silly questions that no one else seems to think of. Why can’t you use your Logitech racing pedal like an Elgato Stream Deck Pedal, anyway?

Ever since the Steam Deck landed, he’s made it his personal quest to find the perfect portable gaming PC to play anywhere in the world.

Away from the keyboard, he’s treating his cat like the royalty she isn’t and contemplating all the better things he could’ve done with the 4,000 hours he spent playing Rainbow Six Siege.

Blair Jacobs

Blair Jacobs, Senior Writer

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Blair’s passion for tech and gaming grew from his first console, a scrapyard-saved Nintendo Famicom, at the tender age of five. He has since owned at least one console of each generation, until finally deciding to build his first PC.

Blair studied networking before landing his first job as a Junior Field Technician within the retail and commerce space. RTFM!

A desire for change and adventure then led him to join the Navy. His most fulfilling experience was crossing the Atlantic in deep swells and thundering storms on a 121-metre-long ship bound to Brazil!

Though a salty sea dog at heart, he enjoys spending time at home with his loving wife and two cats, and if time permits, still savours the occasional video game – preferably a rich, narrative-driven RPG.

Favourite book: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone | Favourite game: Red Dead Redemption 2 | Favourite movie: The Shawshank Redemption | Favourite team: Ratchet & Clank | Favourite place: The Shire, Middle-earth. So, New Zealand?

Fahd TemsamaniFahd Temsamani, Senior Writer

Fahd discovered PCs from a young age, starting with an IBM computer running MS-DOS.

Determined to collect every drop of performance from his machines, he has a penchant for overclocking and likes to tinker. For that very reason, his favourite CPU remains the Intel Pentium E5300, where he managed to unlock an extra 1.1GHz.

His most memorable gaming experiences were playing Aladdin on MS-DOS, then later Commandos and Age of Empires II on Windows XP.

Passionate in helping others discover new hardware, Fahd brings unique character to his articles as a native speaker of both Arabic and French. His motto when building a new rig: il ne faut rien laisser au hasard.
