Just when you think you’ve seen the price of every PCIe Gen 4 SSD fall as low as it can go, a new deal springs up to surprise you. Such is the case with Kingston NV3, whose 4TB model has never been cheaper while other capacities enjoy healthy discounts.

Kingston NV3

For high-speed, low-power storage needs.” – Kingston

On Amazon US, you can pick up Kingston NV3 with 4TB of storage for $229. That’s 28% ($90.99) off relative to list pricing, and marks the lowest ever price for the drive. Meanwhile, 2TB is 27% ($43) off at $114.99 and 1TB slinks down to $59.49 with a 26% ($20.50) discount.

I’d recommend grabbing Kingston NV3 in either 4TB or 2TB capacities, as each offer the best value in terms of terabyte per dollar at $57.50. They’re also the fastest drives of the bunch, with respective sequential read and write speeds of 6,00MB/s and 5,000MB/s.

While not the fastest drive on the planet, Kingston NV3 still has enough speed to make short work of most tasks. You should expect a nippy, responsive experience across general use of your operating system or while installing and loading games.

Note that Kingston NV3 doesn’t come with a built-in heatsink. To squeeze optimal performance out of the SSD, I strongly recommend installing the drive under one of your mother’s passive M.2 heatsinks or slapping an aftermarket cooler on top.

Kingston covers all NV3 SSDs with a five-year warranty as standard. However, for those curious about endurance ratings, the manufacturer rates the drive at 320TBW per TB, so that’s 640TBW for the 2TB model and 1,280TB for 4TB.

NV3 comes bundled with Acronis True Image, a software suite that makes it easy to back up, clone, or restore data. It’s a neat alternative to Windows’ built-in tools, that I’ve used several times in the past with great success.
