Magically filling every room of your house with WiFi, a mesh system can make a massive difference to signal strength and network speeds, meaning you can still get broadband in the furthest reaches of your house. Multiple nodes effectively give you several routers all over your home, but all with the same network ID, offering a seamless transition between them. If you haven’t made the jump to mesh yet, then now is an opportune moment – this Netgear Orbi kit is down to its lowest ever price on Amazon.

“Orbi is engineered for more efficient data transmission through our exclusive Tri-Band technology. The result is faster WiFi performance that doesn’t degrade across the house.” – Netgear

Mesh systems such as the Orbi give you one router that hooks up to your broadband, and other satellites that you can dot around your house to ensure the signal reaches into the furthest blackspots. It makes for a much more convenient system than using multiple WiFi extenders, as you don’t need to keep reconnecting to different network names as you roam your home, and the signal is way better too.

If you have a small two-bedroom home, then one router and a satellite will very probably do the job, but if you have a larger house, perhaps with multiple floors, then a three-way or four-way set will ensure you can get WiFi everywhere. All three of these options are currently heavily discounted on Amazon right now, but the three-way set offers the best value. Now costing just $173.82, this set is at its lowest ever price by a long, long way – it’s usually fluctuated between $260 and $350 over the last year.

That’s a fantastic price for a Netgear Orbi set, even if it doesn’t use the latest tech. All the kits on offer are based on Netgear’s Orbi 750 router system, which uses WiFi 6. A base router plugs into your broadband, and gives you three Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connections, as well as both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi wireless bands.

Each satellite then gives you two more wired Gigabit Ethernet connections, and communicates with the rest of the mesh over a dedicated WiFi backhaul. Netgear says that the set with two satellites will give you signal coverage over a massive 7,500 square feet, while one with three satellites will cover 10,000 square feet.

There’s a hefty discount available on the RBK754P set with three satellites as well. Costing $269.97, it’s also at its lowest ever price on Amazon, with a usual average price of $479.99 – this is the first time we’ve seen it dip below $350. Amazon lists this is a limited-time deal, though, so you’ll need to be quick.
