If you’re looking for a low-cost second display, or a budget screen for a kid’s gaming PC, this MSI monitor deal is just the ticket. Amazon has just slashed 29% off the usual price of an MSI Pro MP243L E14, meaning you can pick up a 1080p 144Hz screen for just £56. That’s less than the cost of a new game these days.

“Unlock the full potential of your monitor with a high refresh rate. From seamless multitasking at work to ultra-smooth gaming and fluid AI-generated visuals, every detail comes to life with precision and speed.”MSI

MSI doesn’t specifically market this monitor as a gaming screen, but it ticks all the key specs boxes for gaming. That includes a 144Hz refresh rate, meaning it can still display fast action in games running at up to 144fps. It even supports Adaptive-Sync, including AMD FreeSync certification, so you won’t get any tearing artefacts if your frame rate drops below this level.

You also get a decent 1920×1080 FHD resolution, which is ideal for this 24in screen. This gives you a pixel density of 91PPI, which is much sharper than the 81PPI you’ll get from the same resolution on a 27in monitor.

You even get a stand with -5-20° of tilt adjustment, rather than a cheap fixed one, although you sadly can’t adjust the height, or swivel the monitor. Meanwhile, an accessory slot in the front gives you a place to put your phone, or any other small adaptors that might be cluttering up your desk.

Meanwhile, the HDMI 2.0 input can be happily hooked up to a PC or console, and there’s even a VGA connector for plugging in PCs and laptops with older graphics outputs. There’s no DisplayPort input, though, and you only get one HDMI port, so you can’t realistically hook up two digital inputs, such as a PC and PS5, at the same time.

At a price of just £56, you really can’t complain, though. If you’re looking for a low-cost second monitor, or a friend is looking to build a budget PC setup, this is a bargain for the spec on offer. It’s a limited-time deal, though, so it’s best to grab it now rather than waiting until later.
