At just under $60, Crucial P310 makes for a cracking SSD deal.

When Crucial P310 hit the scene last year, the SSD left its mark on the market in both its 2230 and 2280 sizes. In that time, the drive’s price has tumbled downwards. However, there’s never been a better time to pick up this spritely bit of storage as its cost hits a new all-time low.

On Amazon US, you can grab Crucial P310 1TB complete with a 20% ($14.81) discount, making it just $59.99. This is the most-affordable the SSD has ever been on the storefront. Meanwhile, Amazon UK is offering the same drive for £59.99 with a smaller albeit welcome 6% (£4.01) saving.

Damien took a look at P310 2TB in a 2230 form factor and walked away more-than-satisfied by the drive’s performance. This 1TB model is much the same, just smaller in space and longer in shape. The SSD sports the same 7,100MB/s sequential read speeds and 6,000MB/s sequential writes, putting its PCIe Gen 4 interface to good use.

Crucial rates the endurance of P310 1TB at 220TBW. This is lower than rivals, but you’d need to fill up the drive completely over 200 times before you hit that threshold. For context, that’s like installing Doom The Dark Ages over 2,000 times. More pertinently, the SSD comes with a five-year warranty.

Note that this version of P310 doesn’t come with a built-in heatsink. I’d recommend installing it under a passive heatsink for optimal performance, or pairing it with an aftermarket solution. Thankfully, the SSD doesn’t run especially hot under load so this isn’t a massive concern in most instances.
