The days of OLED gaming monitors having sky-high prices are now behind us, at least for Black Friday week, as you can currently grab one for just $399.99. It’s not a cheapo one from an unknown brand either – it’s a proper AOC display with a QD-OLED panel, 240Hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility.

$449.99 $399.99

Achieve buttery-smooth visuals and instant responsiveness with a 240Hz refresh rate and ultra-fast 0.03ms response time.” – AOC

It helps that the AOC Q27G4ZD already had a surprisingly affordable price of $469 when it launched earlier this year, with it normally hovering around the $449 mark. However, this latest deal on Amazon brings this AOC screen down to its lowest ever price. If you’ve been holding out for an OLED bargain, now is the time to pounce.

OLED screens offer several advantages over the IPS and VA panels typically used in gaming monitors in this price bracket. For a start, they’re massively more responsive, which makes them ideal for playing fast-paced FPS games, with AOC claiming a ridiculously fast 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time for this monitor.

Add that to a 240Hz refresh rate and your games will look super smooth in action, while Nvidia G-Sync compatibility (and FreeSync support too) will sync up the refresh rate with your GPU’s frame rate output so you don’t get any distracting tearing. What’s more, thee high contrast and brightness of OLED panels makes for great HDR performance. You’ll get much deeper blacks (it’s HDR400 True Black certified) than an IPS screen, while also getting much less ghosting than a VA panel.

This AOC screen packs a solid spec too, offering a 2560×1440 resolution that’s ideal for the 27in panel. This means pixels will look much sharper than on a 27in a 1080p screen, but you also won’t need the monstrous GPU power required to play games at 4K.

You even get a decent stand, offering height, swivel and tilt adjustments, as well as plenty of ports. There’s one DisplayPort 1.4 input, which you’ll want to hook up to your PC, while a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports give you room to hook up a console or other devices at the same time. You’ll be able to run a PS5 at 1080p/120Hz fine with these ports, but 4K /120Hz won’t be possible, as you’ll need HDMI 2.1.

You will need to be quick, though, as we don’t expect this Black Friday OLED monitor deal to last beyond November. For more deals on the latest PC hardware and gaming goodies, make sure you follow the Club386 Google News feed.
