On Amazon US, Ryzen 5 9600X is now just $174.99, down a whopping 37% ($104.01) from its MSRP. Not only is this the lowest cost we’ve seen for the processor in the region, the chip’s a mere $4.99 more-expensive than Ryzen 5 7600X, making the Zen 5 CPU the better value purchase.
Ryzen 5 9600X packs six Zen 5 cores which run at a 3.9GHz base clock, but whose boost clock rises massively to 5.4GHz. Higher clock speeds give it a generational edge but the processor’s main strengths lie in efficiency. It accomplishes so much with so few watts behind it, running at 65W out of the box.
