Amazon UK has just slashed a massive £300 off the price of a super-slim Apple iPhone Air, bringing it down to just £699 for a 256GB model. That’s a huge reduction of 30%, and the 512GB Air price has been similarly cut by 25%.

“The all-new iPhone Air is so impossibly thin and light that it nearly disappears in your hand. At 5.6mm and weighing just 165 grams, it’s the thinnest iPhone ever — even with a large, immersive 6.5‑inch display and the power of the A19 Pro chip.” – Apple
That’s an absurdly low price for a phone that was only released a few months ago. In fact, at £699, the Air now has the same price as a last-gen iPhone 16 from Apple’s online store.
That’s remarkable when you consider the superior spec of the Air, as well as its slimline chassis. Unlike the iPhone 17, Apple’s iPhone Air is based on its top-line A19 Pro chip, with 12MB of memory rather than 8GB, and more cache. It’s not quite the fully-enabled A19 Pro you get in Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro phones, as one of its GPU cores is disabled, but it’s a fantastic chip at this price.
Apple says the latest Air is the “thinnest iPhone ever,” and it is incredibly slim, with a depth of just 5.64mm, compared to 7.95mm on the iPhone 17. Apple’s trick has been to cram all this phone’s key hardware into the camera bump at the top, meaning the bulk of the thin chassis is just occupied by the screen and battery. It’s a lovely device to hold in your hand, although it does feel a bit lopsided.

Nonetheless, at £699, it’s a veritable bargain for the hardware on offer. Bear in mind that only the Sky Blue and Space Black models have been reduced to £699, but there are savings available on the other colours as well, with the highest price attached to the Cloud White version at £799.
If you want more storage space, you can also grab the Sky Blue 512GB Air for £899, again saving you a massive £300 over the standard £1,199 MSRP, although the other colours are pricier.
It looks as though Apple’s iPhone Air hasn’t proved to be as popular as Amazon had hoped, and it needs to shift some stock, particularly of the Sky Blue model. Whatever the reason, if you’re looking for a phone upgrade, we recommend taking advantage of this deal while you can. It can be hard to find genuinely great tech deals right now, and this one is a banger.
