I’ve lost count of how many heatwaves we’ve had this year, but it’s another hot one this Bank Holiday Monday. We Brits like to complain about the weather come rain or shine, and if you’re of the opinion it’s too hot to do anything outside, how about some retail therapy instead?
Browsing the virtual shelves for the best Bank Holiday offers, the Club386 team has identified a slew of discounts across an entire range of Intel CPUs.

Intel Core i7-14700
“The Intel Core i7-14700K is the most interesting processor from the 14th Gen Core family.” Read our review.
The pick of the bunch, in my estimation, is the venerable Intel Core i7-14700F, whose price has hit an all-time-low of £246 at Amazon UK. Similarly, the Core i7-14700KF is down to just $304 at Amazon US.
Ideal for anyone seeking a high-performance upgrade on Socket 1700, the 14700F touts 20 cores (eight performance plus 12 efficient) and can hit speeds of up to 5.4GHz. Not quite as swift as the 5.6GHz unlocked 14700KF, yet a terrific CPU nonetheless, especially at current prices.
14700 is just one of many available discounts. Core i5-12600KF is down 38% to $118 in the US, returning it close to best-ever pricing, and if you don’t need the extra cores, Intel’s quad-core Core i3-14100 is now just £89.99 in the UK. That’s the lowest we’ve ever seen. Heck, if you don’t need integrated graphics, the Core i3-1400F is available for £64. That’s cheaper than my weekly Tesco shop!

Intel Core Ultra 9 285K
“Intel’s latest desktop Core Ultra 200 Series processors put energy efficiency before blockbuster performance.” Read our review.
Proving no chips are immune to cuts, even the current generation is under the axe. Intel’s flagship 24-core Core Ultra 9 285K is down to a record low of $529 in the States, but it’s the 20-core Core Ultra 7 265F that’s catching my eye, available for just $224 with Battlefield 6 included as a welcome freebie.
The chip giant’s difficulties have been well documented, culminating this past week in the US government taking a 10% stake in Intel as part of an unprecedented deal. The upside for the end user is that price cuts are an effective means of boosting sales for the struggling chipmaker.
At the very least, if you’re been contemplating a CPU upgrade, it’s worth having a browse this Bank Holiday Monday as there are healthy savings to be made.
