Forget the Pro, PS5 Slim just dropped to its lowest-ever price

PS5 is decidedly the second-best-selling console of the ninth generation. Before we fully turn our attention to an upgraded PS5 Pro, however, there’s at least one last-ditch push on the Slim. Sony’s PlayStation 5 has fallen to its best-ever price, and the deal likely won’t last long.

Over in the US, PS5 Slim chops 20% off its usual price tag, costing you just $449. Not only is this the lowest price we’ve seen the console, but it also comes bundled with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Insomniac’s sequel kept fantastic company with nominations for Best Game and Game of the Year awards across the board.

I recommend you grab one sooner rather than later, as the deal is only available for a limited time. Amazon UK has just come off the back of its best discount ever that lasted just one weekend. You can still grab 15% off a PS5 at £409 in Blighty, but it’s not quite the lows it was just a couple of days ago.

Since this is the disc version, you’ll save lots of money in the long term since you can buy second-hand. Physical games are a lifesaver in that sense, as you can trade them in towards buying something newer. If you prefer digital, then there’s a 1TB SSD that’ll keep you ticking.

Perhaps the biggest benefit of grabbing a current-gen console is its faster refresh rate and resolution. The powerful hardware lets you game at 4K up to 120Hz, which is mighty fast. Granted, there are few games that max out this spec, but the console scales well to 1440p, too.
