While AMD CPUs are constantly hit with the discount hammer, Intel’s previous generation has seemed somewhat impervious. Sure, some midrange Raptor Lake chips have climbed down from their MSRP, but it’s otherwise been a bit barren. Thankfully, Intel Core i7-13700K is finally on sale once again, reaching the same lows as it did during Black Friday 2023.

With 18% off, Team Blue’s 13th Gen high-end processor falls to just $344.99 on Amazon US. It’s not a new low, but by simply matching its holiday price, it’s the cheapest the chip has ever been. Sadly, it’s a North American exclusive, as the CPU is still full price in most other regions.

Under the lid, this 24-thread powerhouse features 16 cores split equally between Intel’s bespoke performance and efficient approach. 30MB of L3 cache doesn’t reach the heights of AMD’s X3D series, but it’s plenty for gaming. And a 5.4GHz boost clock puts this in the upper echelon of even the latest processors. Just read our four-star Intel Core i7-13700K review to see how it stacks against the competition.

If you’re weighing this up against the current generation, let me put it into perspective for you. Intel Core i7-14700K costs 16% more at $399 while offering up to 4% better performance in benchmarks and games. Those four extra cores and threads nip at the heels of the loftier i9-13900K, but it’ll also sip 7W more than 13700K, costing you more in the long run. Value-wise, nothing beats the current deal on the previous-gen chip.

Besides, you can put that extra cost towards something else. How about an LGA 1700 motherboard, an Arctic Liquid Freezer III AIO to cool the chip, or an Amazon Prime subscription to get your hands on it as soon as tomorrow?

Speaking of the retailer, Amazon makes it easy to try for yourself. With a 30-day return policy, you can send it back within a month if you’re not happy and receive a full refund. They say seeing is believing, and this is the easiest way to go about it.
