I firmly believe that upgrading to a beautiful monitor is the easiest way of enhancing your PC experience. Making the transition from old to new remarkably alluring, MSI has slashed £500 from the gorgeous, curved MEG 342C QD-OLED 34in screen. It’s available right now for under £800. Now that’s a bargain worth shouting about.

Our Damien took an in-depth look at this very screen not too long ago. Impressed enough to give it the coveted Club386 Editor’s Choice award, he was bowled over by the experience afford by QD-OLED. Reviewed at £1,300, he said: “there are plenty of 34in ultrawides out there with 3440×1440 and even 175Hz refresh rate, but QD-OLED elevates it above pretty much everything else. It’s very rare to see gaming look this good, and MSI tacks on a reasonable price for what’s on offer.” That reasonable price is now bordering on the ludicrous.

You best hurry, though, as the monitor is on a limited-time deal from Amazon.co.uk. Checking with MSI, the promotion runs from today, March 20, through to April 9, but I don’t suspect stock will last anywhere near that long.

You can be assured of perfect blacks, a 3440×1440 resolution that’s great for productivity, and if you’re partial to gaming, a fantastic 0.03ms GtG response time and lofty 175Hz variable refresh rate support. MSI rolls out the premium features by including RGB illumination via a SpectrumBar located at the bottom of the screen. Got to say, it looks great in person.

If you’ve been on the fence about OLEDs and worried about burn-in, MSI’s OLED Care has you covered. Pixel shift, panel protection, and static screen detection are designed to safeguard the precious screen. Give it a go, because if you don’t like it for whatever reason, use Amazon’s 30-day return window.
