Performant as your Ryzen processor is, your memory may be holding back the chip’s full potential. AMD’s CPUs are sensitive to transfer speed and timings, meaning the right RAM can make a world of difference. Thankfully, you don’t have to pay through the nose to get an ideal kit.

Crucial Pro 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 (CP2K16G60C36U5B)

No fuss. Just fast. When plug-and-play performance is crucial, go pro.” – Crucial

Ahead of Prime Day, Amazon US has 32GB (2x16GB) of Crucial Pro DDR5-6000 available for $76.99. That’s 27% ($28) off its list price and the best price this RAM has ever gone for on the storefront. If you’re after more memory, the 64GB kit is more expensive but has also never been cheaper at $139.99 for the black colourway and $144.99 for white.

Running at 6,000MT/s, these sticks hit the “sweet spot” for Ryzen 7000 and 8000 Series and aren’t far off the ideal speed for 9000 Series either. What makes this speed ideal is its ability to run in a 1:1 ratio with a processor’s fabric clock (FCLK), which can boost performance. Timings are nippy too at CL36 too, meaning the RAM will respond to CPU requests with little delay.

Support for AMD EXPO overclocking profiles further cements this memory as a great choice for AM5 systems. However, if you’re running LGA1700 or LGA1851, Crucial Pro RAM naturally comes with XMP 3.0 too. Regardless of your processor preference, you’re covered.

Though Crucial Pro RAM doesn’t feature RGB, their origami-inspired heat spreader design does give the sticks a touch of flash. They’ll look right at home in a stealth build but I’d sooner pair them with a white motherboard for a pleasing panda finish.

If ever there was a demonstration of confidence in its RAM, it’s in Crucial’s lifetime warranty. Should you ever encounter problems with this memory, you’ll have nothing to worry about. Just make sure to keep your receipt on hand.
