Getting cutting-edge Tandem WOLED technology at this price is simply an outstanding offer, and I don’t expect stocks at this price to last long at all.

As I found in my review, the GOB2701QSC-B1 already offers fantastic value at £419, but this £120 discount, in celebration of the G-Master brand’s 10th anniversary, puts that assessment into overdrive. You’ll be able to find the monitor at select retailers from today (September 12) up until September 27, or until stocks deplete.
The core reason this monitor is a cut above the rest at £299 is because of its Tandem WOLED panel. This is the latest in monitor technology from LG Display, pushing brightness to the highest levels we’ve seen from self-emissive screens. In our testing, we measured its SDR light output peak at an incredible 416nits, which remains the brightest value we’ve seen from any OLED screen. Meanwhile DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certification ensures highlights dazzle at 500nits and above in HDR.
Diving into the core specifications of the panel, it measures 27in across its diagonal with a native 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution and 280Hz refresh rate. That’s 109 pixels per inch in play, making for a pleasing sharp output that brings out plenty of detail. Meanwhile, frame times can aspire to a nippy 3.57ms ceiling, which combined with a 0.03ms GtG response time, leads to excellent motion clarity.
Like other Tandem WOLED monitors, the GOB2701QSC-B1 boasts a wide gamut. This makes for a vivid viewing experience, covering all hues of the DCI-P3 colour space. Better still, colour accuracy is strong out of the box with a 1.93 Delta E average. Throw in per-pixel dimming and the perfect black capabilities inherent in OLED tech, and you have superb contrast to go along with great colours and brightness.
I should also note that Tandem WOLED doesn’t change shift from LG Display’s longstanding RGWB subpixel structure. This can lead to some minor fringing around text elements, but I barely noticed the effect at all in my time with this monitor across both work and play. Summarily, this drawback is worth noting, but far from a reason not to pick up the screen.
Burn-in remains a risk for all OLED monitors, but iiyama has plenty of protections on this panel. There’s the usual assortment of pixel shifting, screen savers, and pixel refreshes to safeguard the screen, and iiyama’s three-year warranty also provides further peace of mind should you encounter any issues.
I cannot stress enough that you will not find an overall better gaming monitor on the market than the GOB2701QSC-B1 at this price, to the point that I’m seriously considering picking one up myself. Happy shopping.
