AOC has expanded its 34in ultrawide monitor range with two curved WQHD screens targeting work and play. Joining the brand’s G4 series, the CU34G4CA and CU34G4ZCA boast fast refresh rates, KVM switches and 90W USB power delivery.
The CU34G4CA and CU34G4ZCA are both based on a Fast VA panel with a 1500R curve, boasting a WQHD (3440×1440) resolution, making them potentially ideal for gaming and multi-tasking. For gamers, the 21:9 ultrawide format is great for immersion, especially in racing or simulator titles, by expanding your peripheral vision. Likewise, professionals will appreciate the extra screen real estate, which allows you to work on more windows and apps simultaneously.
Both screens feature 90W USB-C power delivery, allowing you to power or charge your laptop, tablet, or handheld, while also giving you the option to send a display signal with the same cable, reducing desk clutter. On that subject, these monitors also come equipped with a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switch, which lets you control two machines with a single set of peripherals, allowing you to switch between your work and gaming PC with a button click.

Specs-wise, both models are rated for 450nits of brightness with a 2,500:1 contrast ratio. The latter is certainly higher than what IPS panels can offer, but lower than the 4,000:1 ratio many VA panels can achieve. AOC also advertises DisplayHDR 400 certification, but due to the lack of local dimming zones, don’t expect an outstanding result here. On the other hand, image sharpness should be good thanks to the panel’s pixel density of 109.7 PPI, which is equivalent to using a traditional 27in 1440p monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
This leaves only one difference to separate the CU34G4CA from the CU34G4ZCA, and that’s speed. The CU34G4ZCA comes equipped with a fast 240Hz panel – overclockable to 250Hz – rated for 0.3ms MPRT pixel response time, whereas the CU34G4CA makes do with a 180Hz refresh and 0.5ms MPRT pixel response time. This makes the CU34G4ZCA better-suited for those who play a lot of fast-paced games on their monitors. That said, 180Hz is still plenty fast enough for gaming, plus it the cheaper model saves you some money and otherwise has the same feature set.

Moving to design and ergonomics, we find identical builds, with both models sharing the exact construction, connections, and ergonomics. Regardless of the model you choose, you’ll find two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, one USB-C socket with DP alt mode, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
There are also two 5W speakers. As for ergonomics, you’ll be able to adjust height by up to 130mm, tilt from -3.5° to 21.5°, and swivel by 20°. There is no pivot support, which is understandable for an ultrawide screen, although you also have the option to install a 100mm VESA arm mount.

The AOC Gaming CU34G4CA and CU34G4ZCA will be available from August 2026 at MSRPs of £289.99 and £329.99 respectively, backed by a three-year warranty.
