Everything you need to know about CoD: Modern Warfare 3 PC system requirements, launch times and more

Damn, Soap, here we go again.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is just around the corner. In fact, starting from tomorrow, early-access members have the opportunity to get through the action-packed campaign before the game’s full release on November 10. As such, here is everything you need in order to play Blizzard’s highly-anticipated threequel.

First of all, Modern Warfare 3 on PC requires an SSD with a whopping 149GB of space available for the initial download. If you are a CoD stalwart and have both CoD HQ and Warzone already installed, the storage requirements are thankfully reduced to 78GB.

Furthermore, if multiplayer is all you care about, then the main campaign can be uninstalled at a later date, leaving access to only CoD HQ and the multiplayer content. A nice gesture, but I personally would have much preferred the option as part of the initial download.

As far as preloading is concerned, Campaign Early Access on PC starts today at 09:00 PT or 16:00 in the UK, so it should be ready to download by the time you get home from work or school. Meanwhile, preloading for the game’s official launch begins on November 8 at 09:00 PT or 16:00 UK. Our American friends can get a few hours head start with the full title going live on November 9 at 21:00 PT, followed by the rest of the world on November 10, so be sure to consult the PC launch map down below.

Recommended Drivers for Nvidia/AMD

  • Nvidia: 537.58
  • AMD: 23.11.1

Interesting to note, the recommended drivers for AMD indicates version 23.11.1, and when last I checked, we are still on driver version 23.10.2. Hmm, this could be a typo, or it could mean we might get a major update in the next few days. Of course, we’ll keep our eyes peeled.

On the other side of the fence, Nvidia’s latest Game Ready driver 546.01 is already available to download, and it features the latest optimisations and game integrations such as DLSS 3 with Frame Generation, Nvidia Reflex low latency support, and much more.

That’s about it! If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the latest Call of Duty blog post for more information. Stay frosty.
