Graphics card costs have had a rough time over the past couple of years, but let’s not dwell on the past. Nvidia has bolstered its range of GPUs, and it’s helped existing pixel pushers plummet in price. Just look at Gigabyte’s GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming OC, which is now the cheapest it’s ever been.

Unlike recent deals, this one’s a doozy across multiple regions. Amazon US offers a 12% discount, bringing the price down to $789.99, which is the lowest we’ve seen. If you’re in Blighty, it’s not quite its best price, but the 16% drop to £716.25 is nothing to scoff at. French customers can nab 10% off at €890.31. You get the gist. It’s worth checking out to see if your storefront sports a reduction.

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming OC is a great GPU for 1440p gaming first and foremost. You’ll stretch it to 4K if you’re happy sticking with 60fps. Otherwise, you can enjoy triple-digit frame rates at QHD Ultra settings in games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, and Rainbow Six Extraction.

This is in large part thanks to its 7,680 CUDA Cores and zippy 2,640MHz boost clock. Credit where it’s due, though, the 12GB VRAM does some heavy lifting. Some might consider this a little low compared to AMD, but it should serve you well with GDDR6X on a 192-bit bus clocked to 21Gbps. Translation: it’s darn fast.

Compatibility is the only thing you need to consider. At 13.2in long and 5.5in wide, it takes up 2.5 PCIe slots but should fit in most standard cases. It also sips a meagre 285W compared to the performance it gives, letting it work with 700W power supplies. I’d pair it with something a little bigger just to be sure, like a 750W, but it’s fairly efficient.

While we haven’t taken a look at this particular card, I recommend checking out our MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Suprim X review. They’ll sit in the same ballpark. Otherwise, it’s best you try out the card for yourself using Amazon’s 30-day return window if you’re not happy.
