Acemagic has announced the Tank 03 Mini PC featuring mobile Intel 12th Gen CPUs and Nvidia RTX 30 Mobile Series GPUs in a tight package for desktop users.

The Tank 03 offers a choice between Intel’s Core i7-12700H or Core i9-12900H processors, Nvidia’s RTX 3060M (80W), RTX 3070M (120W), or RTX 3080M (125W), and 1x16GB or 2x16GB of DDR5-4800 memory. For all variants, storage is covered by a single 1TB PCIe Gen 3 M.2 SSD, though it can easily be upgraded via the two extra M.2 slots supporting both NVMe and SATA drives. Same for memory which can be upgraded up to 64GB.

Note that while these Intel chips sit at different product tiers, in reality, they are very similar. Both pack six P-cores plus eight E-cores alongside 24MB of cache, targeting a 115W max turbo boost and 45W base power. The difference lies in their frequency, as the i9 clocks 300MHz higher at 5GHz on the P-cores and 3.8GHz on the E-cores. What’s more, there’s an extra 50MHz on the iGPU for those who care.

On the GPU side, while not the latest and greatest from Nvidia, the RTX 3080M is powerful enough to handle high graphic settings in many recent games. And since this hardware is meant for laptops in the first place, efficiency and heat output should be much lower than their desktop counterparts, helping with power consumption and cooling.

Talking of which, this 167mm x 167mm x 161mm cube PC takes fresh air from the top, bottom, and sides, before exhausting hot air from the back. There we also find a portion of its connectivity comprising six USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, two HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4, two 3.5mm audio jacks, dual 2.5GbE, an SD card reader, plus a Type-C Thunderbolt 4 40Gb/s for fast data transfer and video output up to 8K at 60Hz. Not forgetting to mention Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.2.

Lastly, the front section features a power dial offering three levels of adjustment, letting you quickly switch between silent, automatic, or performance modes – probably changing the fan speed and power targets to focus on cooling or silence.

Acemagic’s Tank 03 Mini PC will be available soon at $1,799 for the model packing an i9-12900H alongside the RTX 3080M, 32GB memory, and 1TB SSD storage.
