“Games look fabulous on this monitor, as we’ve come to expect from the technology driving it.” Read our review.

This monitor’s price has come down a fair chunk since launch, but this most recent discount reduces its list price of £725 by a welcome 28%. Looking at the price relative to the cost when we reviewed the screen at launch, the MPG 341CQPX is down by a whopping 53%. Make no mistake – this is a great deal.

In terms of specifications, the MPG 341CQPX offers up a 34in QD-OLED screen running at native UWQHD (3440×1440) resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. While this particular panel has since been superseded by newer, more-expensive, 360Hz alternatives, there’s a whole lot of monitor to enjoy here, especially at this new price.

In our testing, we found you can expect rich contrast from the display, thanks to per-pixel local dimming netting perfect black levels, alongside wide and accurate colour reproduction for a truly vivid viewing experience.

The built-in KVM will also please anyone hoping to run multiple systems into this monitor. While we’d have liked to have seen USB 3 ports on this display, the 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports are still fast enough for most peripherals, and the 98W of power delivery from the USB-C socket is handy too.

On top of all that, the monitor nets you a free copy of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, worth £60 in its own right. Capcom’s long-awaited return to the series is a prime testing ground for the MPG 341CQPX, putting its ultrawide aspect ratio, lightning-fast response times, and gorgeous panel to work in brilliant demon-slaying Samurai fashion.
