Launching a new GPU in this economy doesn’t seem like a smart move, with such little memory available for production, but AMD could be preparing to do just that. Unfortunately, instead of a surprise Radeon release that could serve as a shining light in this dark and dour market, it seems the pixel pusher in question is one to avoid.
HWiNFO has released a list of upcoming changes for its software, which includes support for an ‘AMD RX 7500’. No graphics card publicly exists with that name at the time of writing, but such a model would plug the long-standing gap in the lineup between the Radeon RX 7600 and OEM-only RX 7400.
The release notes sadly don’t share any potential specifications for the graphics card. However, we presume the model would feature a Navi 33 GPU like the RX 7600 and 7400, with the number of stream processors sitting somewhere between the 1,792-to-2,048 of its siblings.

We’ve seen some chatter about an apparent prototype that broke cover in 2025, which could be a candidate for the RX 7500, but this doesn’t seem likely in our eyes. X user GOKForFree posted a picture of the alleged pixel pusher in a now-deleted post, while also sharing some unconfirmed specifications.
The leaker claimed this prototype uses a Navi 33 XE GPU, featuring 1,536 streaming processors, paired with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM running on a 96-bit bus. All three of these specifications are below those of the RX 7400, suggesting an RX 7300 moniker is more likely for this graphics card (if it ever sees the light of day).
Regardless of what the RX 7500’s final technical makeup looks like, we’re hardly foaming at the mouth for the launch of an RDNA 3 card in 2026. There’s still every chance AMD could choose not to release a model under this name, particularly as doing so could cannibalise what sales the firm is garnering through RDNA 4 budget releases like the RX 9050 8GB and RX 9050 4GB.
We’ll keep our ear to the ground for more news and leaks, despite our tepid enthusiasm for such a launch. Until then, check out our picks of the best graphics cards on the market right now.
