The advent of new graphics cards means just one thing in the eyes of a thrifty shopper: discounts. The predecessors are destined to plummet in price. It was simply a matter of time, and now Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 has fulfilled the prophecy by landing on a new all-time low.

Saving 7%, MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ventus 3X now costs $560 on Amazon, exclusively in the US. This new tag puts it within $10 of the dual fan 2X model. A whole third fan for a tenner doesn’t seem bad at all, especially when it pushes the clock speeds higher and temperatures lower.

Housing 12GB of high-speed GDDR6X memory, the GPU runs at 2,520MHz while the VRAM clocks in at 2,655MHz. This is a fair bit higher than Nvidia’s respective base 1,920MHz and 2,475MHz, translating to higher frame rates in games.

RTX 4070 discounts aren’t just the result of Nvidia adjusting to accommodate its new best graphics cards. It’s a direct response to AMD slashing the prices of Radeon RX 7900 XT. Sure, the latter is more powerful for the price, but it doesn’t have Team Green’s secret weapon.

With Nvidia DLSS under its belt, RTX 4070 gives a performance boost of up to 55% in supported games, including Cyberpunk 2077. This makes ray tracing a viable option without the same caveats you’d get buying a non-RTX 40 Series GPU. FSR 2 and FSR 3 are more prominent, but 4070 has access to those upscalers, too.

I’d recommend grabbing one sooner rather than later, as these will surely fly off the digital shelves. Invoke an Amazon Prime subscription, and you could even plug your new toy into your PC by tomorrow.
