Ten years ago, it would’ve been inconceivable that Sony could ever make a controller that kicks it with the best PC pads around. Fortunately, PlayStation DualSense bucks just about every trend with a beautiful build quality, native support without the need for third-party software to play nicely with Windows, and for some, the symmetrical layout is just what the ergonomist ordered. Better yet, the gamepad has plummeted in price, echoing the savings we last saw during the Black Friday bonanza.

You have your pick of the litter when it comes to colourways, with Black, White, Galactic Purple, Gray Camouflage, Starlight Blue, and my personal favourite, Cosmic Red, all touting a healthy 27% off at $54.88. Other shades have dropped in price, but typically hover around $59.

In the UK, you can expect up to 23% off, with prices ranging between £49 and £53 depending on the model. Europe sees a more modest 12% saving, bringing the controller to €70.44. Not quite as aggressive, but still a welcome drop for those on the continent. It’s worth checking out your regional deal by clicking the button below.

PlayStation DualSense

DualSense offers immersive haptic feedback, dynamic adaptive triggers and a built-in microphone, all integrated into an iconic design.

What makes the DualSense special isn’t just how it looks, it’s how it feels. The real star of the show is the adaptive triggers, which adjust tension on the fly to reflect in-game actions. Whether you’re drawing a bowstring, accelerating through muddy terrain, or blasting a shotgun, the triggers respond with realistic resistance. Combine this with nuanced haptic feedback that goes beyond simple vibration with directional rumble tuned to specific moments, and you get a controller that brings an extra layer of immersion to modern games.

Support for adaptive triggers and tuned rumble depends on developers, meaning it doesn’t feature in every PC title. You’ll need to disable Steam Input entirely to get it working but you can check to see if your favourite game makes the cut by clicking the link here.

Other features include a built-in microphone and speaker, a 3.5mm audio jack, a responsive touchpad, and motion sensors that enhance aiming and interaction in supported titles. Battery life typically ranges from 8 to 12 hours, depending on how heavily haptics and rumble are used, and it charges via USB-C for fast, reliable top-ups. Bluetooth connectivity makes it a plug-and-play option for PC and mobile use.

If you want something more premium, such as higher build quality, extra buttons, and swappable stick modules, PlayStation DualSense Edge has also hit its lowest price yet in every region.

PlayStation DualSense Edge

Feature-full with all the frills, DualSense Edge refines PlayStation’s gamepad with extra buttons, profiles, repairability.

It’s just $169 in the US after a 15% discount; a solid saving for a controller that rarely drops. UK residents save 14% at £160, while Europe gets the best 27% cut, bringing it down to €174.99. It’s never been cheaper across the world, making it a great time to upgrade if you’ve been on the fence.

Designed for serious players, DualSense Edge adds two back buttons, replaceable sticks, a carry case, adjustable triggers, and user profiles. Whether you’re tweaking it for fighting games, shooters, or driving sims, it’s a controller make for personalisation. And while it’s priced like a luxury product, this discount makes it that little bit more tempting.

I rate DualSense Edge among the best PC controllers you can buy, even against Razer Wolverine V3 Pro. It retains all the magic of the standard DualSense while adding a professional-grade edge for competitive and creative players alike.
