PlayStation VR2 launch lineup announced with over 30 games to look forward to

Spoilt for choice.

PS VR2 Creed

Can you believe that there’s just one more month till the official launch of Sony’s highly anticipated PlayStation VR2. Kicking into full gear, the console maker has announced that a further 13 titles will debut during the launch window, bringing the total up to over 30 games.

The blogpost reveals a rather well-rounded affair, spanning multiple genres and gameplay preferences including everything from first person shooters, to platformers, puzzlers and even realistic (or non realistic) simulators. There’s a little bit for everyone, throwing game choice as a deciding factor straight out of the window.

Naturally, there are plenty of top contenders that might grab your attention (and your wallet) including off-beat spinoff Horizon Call of the Mountain, critically acclaimed indie favourite Before Your Eyes, or go kayaking over the rapids in Kayak VR: Mirage. Even Rocky fans finally have an opportunity to get into the ring with Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition. Adrian!

For good measure, there’s also a bunch of free updates to your favourite classics. Racing aficionados are undoubtedly looking forward to Gran Turismo 7, while survival horror fans will most likely enjoy a second outing in Resident Evil The Village, though I personally wouldn’t be able to stomach it. Indie fans are sure to embrace Zenith: The Last City, and Pistol Whip, and for all those who missed the opportunity to join the big leagues, there’s NFL Pro Era. It goes without saying, that you already have to own these games in order to receive the upcoming VR updates.

Those interested are definitely in for an experience come February 22. PS VR2 is currently available for pre-order starting at £529.99. The launch window runs from release day till the end of March, which means you shouldn’t have to wait terribly long for your most anticipated title.
