There’s no time to waste, so let’s get straight to business. Getting an RX 9070 XT at MSRP has proven practically impossible since the graphics card launched back in March. This is still largely the case, but if you’re quick you can now grab one of the best variants of the pixel pusher with a small discount to boot.

Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT
“There’s a new midrange marvel in town.” Read our review.
On Amazon UK, Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT is available for £689.99. That’s £10 below its RRP, and thankfully well below its average price of £707.70. If recent price surges and stock levels are anything to go by, though, this graphics card won’t cost this much for long, either becoming more expensive or disappearing off the proverbial shelf altogether.
Speaking from my experience with Nitro+, there’s plenty to love about this cooler that makes paying the premium for it all the easier. For starters, it’s one of the most-powerful RX 9070 XT graphics cards on the market. Its 330W TDP allows Sapphire to comfortably push game clock up to 2,520MHz as boost clock similarly rises up to 3,060MHz.
Even with so much power running through the GPU, Nitro+ RX 9070 XT keeps its cool with operating temperatures averaging around 59°C. Its three AeroCurve fans don’t kick up an audible fuss while on cooling duty either, peaking at a palatable 39dB.
While Nitro+ RX 9070 XT is undeniably beautiful, its three-slot design does come with a notable quirk. The card uses the 12V-2×6 for power, hiding the header away under a magnetic backplate. As such, you should ideally have a native 12-pin connector handy for ease of installation. If you’re rocking an older power supply, have no fear, Sapphire provides a dongle.
I recommend reading my RX 9070 XT review for a deeper examination of the Nitro+ in action, complete with performance analysis of applications and games. The short of the matter, though, is this graphics card handily trades blows with both RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti. It’s a worthy alternative to its GeForce competitors, particularly with FSR 4 at its back, and a great pixel pusher in its own right.
