InWin Breeze and Mist PC cases offer a unique touch of class with reeded glass panels

While the Breeze features a mix of transparent and reeded glass, the Mist takes a slightly different path by incorporating wood grain materials.

Fish tank chassis are commonplace in the world of PC cases, but InWin is breathing new life into the style through the addition of reeded glass. The company is showcasing two mid towers at its Computex booth, the Breeze and Mist, with each using the textured glass in different but equally eye-catching ways for some proper classy designs.

The InWin Breeze, our favourite of the two cases, features both a more-typical tempered glass panel on its side while adopting a reeded glass finish up front. Looking through the front panel, the LEDs of the PC’s internals diffuse in a pleasing manner, particularly on the black chassis where the contrast of light and shadow is more pronounced.

While you’ll have a choice of black and white colourways, InWin will ship these cases with either amber or white fixed-colour fans rather than A-RGB blowers. The company tells us this is in service of complementing the reeded glass, with the aim of making it easier to fit the Breeze, aesthetically speaking, into spaces outside of your gaming setup.

Meanwhile, the Mist adopts a reeded glass side and wood grain front panel. This approach feels like staring at your PC’s internal through a mottled window, creating the same unique diffusion effect of the Breeze but on a larger scale. As someone that grew up around this kind of effect, it evokes warm, nostalgic feelings of dark and rainy albeit cosy nights from my childhood in the best way.

To further the relaxing vibes, InWin includes a mode that enables the fan’s lights to correspond with the Pomodoro technique, turning the LEDs off for 20-25 minutes before lighting up as a reminder to take a five-minute break. There’s also a meditation setting, which aims to help you time your breaths accordingly. This isn’t something I can imagine myself using, but does illustrate InWin’s approach to make these cases more classy and relaxing chassis than more common, louder aesthetics.

In terms of specifications, both the Breeze and Mist support motherboards from E-ATX downwards. You can also expect to fit a CPU Cooler 175mm in height, as well as GPUs 435 in length into the inner chammber. InWin preinstalls one 120mm rear fan, three on the side, and two on the bottom with every case. However, there is room for three more up top, or up to a 360mm radiator.

There’s sadly no word on when the Breeze or Mist will cost, nor when you can expect to find them on store shelves. I certainly hope it doesn’t take long for these cases to come to market, as I’d love to put together a build in either one.
