Philips launches affordable QHD 260Hz gaming monitor

Evnia 27M2N3501PA launches June 2025, bringing QHD 260Hz to the masses.

Philips has announced a new addition to its Evnia 3000 monitor lineup, featuring a 260Hz refresh rate. Evnia 27M2N3501PA is welcomingly affordable in spite of its speedy specifications, which could make it an ideal choice to those craving high refresh rate gaming on a budget.

Evnia 27M2N3501PA is a 27in gaming monitor packing a 240Hz Fast IPS panel. Users can push this refresh further to 260Hz through panel overclocking, through a simple toggle in the monitor’s OSD. Building on this speed, Philips states the panel carries a 0.3ms MPRT response time, with Smart MBR (Motion Blur Reduction) helping to keep blur at bay.

Speed is the focus of Evnia 27M2N3501PA buts its panel is decently sharp too, rocking a QHD (2560×1440) resolution and pixel density of 109 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). Philips even claims the display covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, meaning content should appropriately pop off the screen. There’s even HDR10 support too, but the HDR experience won’t be fantastic here owing to a lack of dimming zones.

Philips also includes controls to tweak picture quality to your liking, such as shadow boost and smart contrast. On the latter note, Evnia 27M2N3501PA doesn’t push the boat out with a 1,000:1 ratio and 300nits of brightness that are typical of IPS panels.

Evnia 27M2N3501PA also comes equipped with a fully ergonomic stand, allowing for -5° to +20° tilt, 30° swivel, 90° pivot, and 130mm height adjustment. Philips includes a 100mm VESA mount too for those who want to pair it with a mount.

On the underside of the monitor, you’ll find two HDMI 2.0 ports as well as a single DisplayPort 1.4 input. There are no USB ports to speak of, but Evnia 27M2N3501PA does feature a 3.5mm input as well as a pair of 2W speakers. Philips conveniently builds the power supply into the chassis, so you won’t have to deal with a large power adapter.

Philips Evnia 27M2N3501PA will be available in late June for £209. This makes it one of the most affordable monitors you’ll find on the market with similar specifications.
