In conversation about all things 3D V-Cache, Ryzen 5 7600X3D, through no fault of its own, is unfortunately but understandably overlooked due to the processor’s limited availability. However, this may soon change, as AMD seemingly prepares to put the hexacore CPU on more store shelves across the globe.
For the moment, Ryzen 5 7600X3D is only officially via two retailers, namely MicroCenter in the US and Mindfactory in Germany. It is possible to find the processor through other means, such as AliExpress, but the aforementioned stores remain the only channels that AMD supplies the process to directly.

However, listings for the CPU are unexpectedly appearing on other retailers, such as LambdaTek and Overclockers UK. While this initially appears to be the same Ryzen 5 7600X3D that exists elsewhere, these new product pages contain a new OPN (Processor Part Number): 100-100001901WOF.
It’s currently unclear why AMD is adopting a new OPN for this Ryzen 5 7600X3D. However, as the ‘WOF’ acronym indicates, the processor will continue to ship without a fan as it has in other territories. However, any changes to the CPU should become clearer closer to release.
Overclockers UK lists Ryzen 5 7600X3D as having a £319.99 RRP, but currently has pre-orders open at £269.99. LambdaTek is similarly selling the CPU at £299.99. For context, that’s just under £30 more expensive than the Ryzen 5 9600X was at launch.
Launching at £300~, Ryzen 5 7600X3D could struggle to justify such a price point given current market prices. For context, I can find Ryzen 7 7800X3D for just £330-350, which strikes me as a far better value purchase given the chip’s increased core count, higher clock speeds, and greater power budget.
Ryzen 5 7600X3D | Ryzen 7 7800X3D | |
---|---|---|
Cores / Threads | 6 / 12 | 8 / 16 |
TDP | 65W | 120W |
L3 Cache | 96MB | 96MB |
Base Clock | 4.1GHz | 4.2GHz |
Boost Clock | 4.7GHz | 5.0GHz |
Launch MSRP | $299 | $449 |
It’s entirely possible these are placeholder prices, as they’re more or less a match for Ryzen 5 7600X3D’s launch MSRP of $300. Until we get official confirmation from AMD, though, this is just an optimistic best guess.
There’s certainly a place for Ryzen 5 7600X3D, if priced correctly. Reviews show the CPU can come close to rivalling Ryzen 7 7800X3D, despite its relative shortcomings. However, I’d rather see AMD focus efforts on a Ryzen 5 9600X3D given the architectural advantages Zen 5 offers and second generation 3D V-Cache offer.
We’ll keep an eye on any further developments surrounding Ryzen 5 7600X3D. In the meantime, follow Club386 on Google News to stay in the loop.
