iiyama has announced three new gaming monitors targeting users looking for value-oriented solutions that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Joining the brand’s G-Master lineup, I believe they offer a good balance between speed, resolution, and size. If you like enjoying your games from a distance, or even from a couch, there is something for you.
Gold Phoenix GB3290QSU-B1
The GB3290QSU-B1 is likely the one most avid gamers will turn towards thanks to its higher 240Hz refresh rate and less-demanding (2560×1440) QHD resolution. It offers a reasonable mix between image sharpness and size, clocking at 31.5in. This makes it great for gamepad play, where you can sit further back in a more comfortable position, or if like me, your eyes have seen better days.

The £320 GB3290QSU-B1 doesn’t try to break any records. It focuses on its IPS panel strengths to deliver a pleasurable experience at a reasonable price. To be specific, iiyama advertises 1,000:1 contrast, 400nits of brightness, and a 1ms MPRT pixel response time. In terms of colour reproduction, we find 96% coverage of the sRGB and 72% of the NTSC gamuts, which is fine for a gaming display.
Unlike its 42.5in sibling (below), this model features an adjustable stand, providing 150mm height, 90° swivel, and from -5° to 23° tilt control. Pivot isn’t available, but that can be easily remedied by using a 100mm VESA arm. Lastly, connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.2, plus a four-port USB hub.
Red Eagle GB3271QSU-B2
The GB3271QSU-B2 is a cheaper version of the GB3290QSU-B1, for those who don’t need or can’t take advantage of all that speed. It keeps the large 31.5in size and the QHD resolution, but drops the refresh rate from 240Hz to 180Hz. An acceptable compromise considering the 21% price drop to £250.

Other than speed, most specs remain identical, i.e. the same 1,000:1 contrast, 400nits brightness, 1ms response time, and triple connectivity. So, if you don’t need the extra speed, you can save a good amount by opting for this one.
Red Eagle G4380UHSU-B2
The G4380UHSU-B2 improves on the B1 model, boasting a faster 0.2ms MPRT response time, upgraded HDMI 2.1 connectivity for modern console support, and USB Type-C ports for added flexibility. This big boy is based on a 42.5in VA panel boasting 4k (3840×2160) resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Needless to say, this one is perfect for couch gaming.
While its main specs didn’t change compared to its predecessor, including 550nits brightness and 4,000:1 contrast, its pricing has dropped drastically from £707 excluding VAT to £499.99 with VAT.

As you can guess, due to its large size, the G4380UHSU-B2 can only adjust in tilt, from -2° to 10°. The 200mm x 100mm wall mounting is clearly the way to go. However, what it lacks in ergonomics, it gains in connectivity, offering two HDMI 2.1, two DisplayPort 1.4, plus a four-port USB hub. A solid overall display that can take care of all your needs.
These G-Master gaming monitors will be available on Amazon and other UK retailers from mid-September 2025 at the following MSRP prices:
