Grab a 1TB Steam Deck upgrade for just $69.99 with this Samsung Evo microSD deal

That's enough room to install Baldur's Gate 3 six times, or loads more smaller gamers.

If you’re rapidly running out of room for game installs on your handheld, whether it’s a Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, or Asus ROG Ally, this latest microSD deal is perfect for your needs. Amazon is currently offering a 1TB Samsung Evo Select microSD card for just $69.99, which is a refreshingly affordable price in these inflationary times.

Installing a microSD card is also much simpler than dismantling your Steam Deck to fit a new M.2 SSD, and at this price it’s considerably cheaper as well. The package comes with a standard SD-sized adaptor as well, so you can slot this card into your laptop’s card reader if it has one.

Samsung says the Evo Select will read at up to 160MB/s, but bear in mind that these speeds are only achievable with a USB card reader. Both the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch are limited to UHS-I speeds, which means you won’t get any more than 104MB/s out of this card in these handhelds. Even so, that’s the same situation with any microSD card in these devices.

Importantly, you’re getting a convenient 1TB chunk of extra storage space for under $70. That’s enough space for several of the latest game installs, including massive titles like Baldur’s Gate 3. Also, note that you can’t upgrade a Nintendo Switch 2 with this card, as this new handheld only supports microSD Express.
