MSI has announced the Pro Max 341QPXW14G, an ultra-wide QD-OLED monitor designed to meet the needs of Mac users who move between creative applications, spreadsheets, and meetings. It offers more screen space for multitasking than a standard 16:9 screen, so you can easily have two apps side by side, and even use it across multiple devices.
Powered by a flat 34in 5th-Gen QD-OLED panel, the Pro Max 341QPXW14G provides a wide canvas for multitasking and creative workflows, removing the need for a secondary monitor while simplifying your setup. It combines an ultrawide (21:9) 3440×1440 resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate that’s sufficient to deliver a smooth enough experience, be it for professional tasks or gaming.
Thanks to its new RGB Stripe subpixel layout, the Pro Max 341QPXW14G should also display sharper text, reducing the colour fringing previously observed on QD-OLED monitors when looking at documents and spreadsheets. Those watching or working with HDR material will also appreciate the new Penta Tandem technology, with MSI saying it boosts brightness efficiency by 30%, reaching 1,300nits peak, while the new DarkArmor film counters ambient light and reflections.
The latter delivers 40% deeper blacks, according to MSI, and protects the screen with its 3H surface hardness, while offering 2.5x more scratch resistance.
For colour-critical work, MSI indicates that the Pro Max 341QPXW14G is both Pantone and Pantone SkinTone validated, on top of being factory calibrated to a Delta E ≤2. In terms of raw colour reproduction, MSI advertises 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut, and 97.4% for Adobe RGB.
The monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified for those working with or consuming HDR content, plus you can fine-tune the HDR brightness curve across 14 adjustment points.
The Pro Max 341QPXW14G comes with plenty of Apple-related features, including Mac integration via the brand’s M-Mate app, M-Color, which helps maintain consistent colours between the Pro Max 341QPXW14G and compatible MacBooks. There’s also M-Sync, which allows you to control screen brightness and volume directly using your MacBook’s dedicated keys.
Meanwhile, the KVM feature enables you to manage up to three connected devices with a single keyboard and mouse, on top of PIP/PBP multi-device view modes. Speaking of which, this model also supports cross-device data transfer, allowing you to drag-and-drop files to transfer them between machines. Furthermore, its dual USB-C connections streamline your setup by sending video, data, and power through a single cable.
For other connections, the Pro Max 341QPXW14G carries two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4a input, two USB-C sockets with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery (98W and 15W), plus a 3.5mm headphone out jack, plus a four-port USB hub. In terms of ergonomics, you get a fully adjustable stand, offering between -5° and 20° of tilt, 30° of swivel movement, 10° of pivot, and 130mm off height adjustment, in addition to a 100mm VESA arm mount.
The MSI Pro Max 341QPXW14G is already available in the US at $749.99, backed by a three-year warranty, including OLED burn-in cover.
