AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU prices are a touch above MSRP

Pricing seems about right, but budget stock may be limited.

Multiple online retailers have started listing their AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics cards ahead of the June 5 launch, giving a hint at market prices. These include models from most major brands, including ASRock, Asus, Sapphire, and XFX, covering both 8GB and 16GB variants.

While these listings have been modified or hidden shortly after their initial post, quick reactions from the community have immortalised them. In the US, one retailer has listed ASRock Challenger RX 9060 XT 8GB for $319.99, ASRock Challenger RX 9060 XT 16GB for $369.99, and ASRock Steel Legend RX 9060 XT 16GB for $389.99. While these are a bit higher than AMD’s official MSRP, especially for entry-level Challenger models, they could be just placeholders. As a reminder, AMD has set RX 9060 XT 8GB to $249 MSRP, with the 16GB sitting a little higher at $349.

Moving to across the pond, we have Overclockers UK letting prices slip through Google search, where we can see models from Sapphire and PowerColor. The Blighty retailer expects to offer Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT 8GB for £269.99, followed by ASRock Steel Legend RX 9060 XT 8GB at £289.99. The cheapest 16GB model comes from Sapphire with Pulse RX 9060 XT 16GB at £314.99, trailed by PowerColor Reaper RX 9060 XT 16GB at £329.99. On the other hand, the most expensive models go as high as £359.99 from the likes of Asus and Gigabyte. But again, these could also be placeholders.

In terms of specs, all models regardless of their memory configuration will feature a Navi 44 GPU packing 32 RDNA 4 Compute Units linked to the system via a PCIe 5.0 x16 interface. Depending on the memory capacity, board partners can configure the TBP (Total Board Power) between 150W and 182W, likely fed via a single 8-pin connector. That said, though AMD has indicated a 3.13GHz boost clock during its announcement, partners seem to have authorisation to increase it further. For instance, ASRock targets 3,290MHz on its Challenger OC and 3,320MHz on the Steel Legend.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding these prices, AMD will likely ensure each brand offers at least one model at MSRP, even if it requires temporary rebates. The question is, will performance be on the rendezvous? Especially on the 8GB model. Official claims put RX 9060 XT 16GB 6% ahead of RTX 5060 Ti 8GB. Likewise, leaked benchmarks put it ahead of RX 7700 XT and RTX 5060 Ti. But, for the final word on this, we will have to wait for reviews which are on the horizon.
