AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D crashes into its new lowest price ever

We’ve gone on and on about the gaming prowess of AMD’s X3D cache. After all, they can boost frame rates like no other processor out there. The real kicker, though, is that AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D is now cheaper than ever, boasting a brand-new low price.

Over in the US, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D has hit $409.99 for the first time. This is a 32% discount from its MSRP, around 5% lower than its Black Friday price. No matter how you slice it, there’s never been a better time to grab one. UK shoppers don’t go without, either. £405.32 makes it the lowest we’ve seen, beating its former best price by £25.

As a step above the best CPU for gaming, Ryzen 9 7900X3D features 12 cores and 24 threads. It doesn’t suffer the same frequency woes as its little brother, with a 5.6GHz boost clock. Seriously, this is just 0.1GHz off the top of the range.

We’ve not yet had our hands on Ryzen 9 7900X3D, but it’s sandwiched between two we have tested. Armed with the same X3D technology and 128MB of L3 cache, we can tell by proxy that it’ll achieve a similar 15 to 40% frame rate uplift, depending on the game. And yes, this is without any extra help from upscalers.

7900X3D isn’t the only one on the price-chopping block. Both Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D have come tumbling down, although not to their lowest ever. You can get the former for $369 / £349 and the latter for $599 (not available in the UK). At least you have a few options if you plan on upgrading to AM5.

These discounts are on several different storefronts, but you can use an Amazon Prime subscription to get it quicker from Bezos’s platform.
