If you’re still using a little 24in 60Hz monitor, but really fancy the idea of going bigger and faster, then here’s your chance. Amazon has just knocked the price of this AOC Gaming 27G4XED monitor down to £89.99. Amazon says that’s 31% lower than this screen’s usual £129.99 cost, but price trackers show that the 27G4XED actually demanded £189 for most of 2025. It’s since dropped to £99.99 this year, but at £89.99 it’s an even bigger bargain, its lowest price yet.

That’s a fantastic price for the spec on offer. For just under £90, you’ll not only be able to fill your face with a decent-sized 27in panel, but you’ll also get a fast 180Hz refresh rate. That’s ideal for first-person shooters, where you want to be able to see all the fast-paced action. With a 180Hz refresh rate, you’re getting a good step up from the usual entry-level 144Hz for gaming monitors these days, and triple the refresh rate of an old-school 60Hz display.

What’s more, there’s full adaptive sync support on this screen, including official Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. That means your monitor will sync up its refresh rate in time with the frame rate generated by your GPU, whether it’s made by AMD or Nvidia, so you get smooth motion with no nasty tearing artefacts.

Other bonuses include a built-in set of 2W stereo speakers, and you get a DisplayPort 1.4 input for your PC, along with a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports, which you could use to hook up a laptop and game console as well.

The key limitation to bear in mind here is that this screen’s 1920×1080 FHD resolution will look a bit chunky on that 27in panel, as it only has a pixel density of 81.59 pixels per inch (PPI). Comparatively, a 24in 1080p panel will look a bit sharper at 91.79 PPI. On the plus side, though, you won’t need an overly expensive GPU to play your games at 1920×1080 with a 180fps frame rate.

Amazon has marked this offer as a limited-time deal, so we recommend bagging it sooner rather than later if you’re looking for a monitor upgrade.
