AOC has announced the 16T20E2, a compact and lightweight monitor for on-the-go professionals and digital nomads. An accessory that’s useful in more ways than one, the ultra-portable screen doesn’t take up much space inside a backpack and keeps clutter to a minimum courtesy of single-cable connectivity.
The 16T20E2 is based on a 15.6in full-HD IPS panel offering a 1920×1080 resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate. This gives it a respectable 141.21 PPI pixel density, equivalent to a 31.5in 4K monitor. Wide 178° viewing angles give you more positioning freedom without washing out colours, and while peak 250-nit brightness will prove insufficient in bright sunlight, it ought to be ample in indoor environments. As for contrast and pixel refresh, AOC advertises a typical IPS 1000:1 ratio alongside a 4ms GtG response time.

While the 16T20E2 won’t blow you away with its spec sheet, it’s perfectly fine for what it’s designed to do, whether it’s augmenting your laptop’s productivity anywhere you go, or keeping the kids entertained in the back seat of your car. Flexibility is aided by the fact that 16T20E2 doesn’t require a dedicated power cable or adapter; it draws both power and video via USB Type-C. And with a typical power draw of just 5W, you won’t need to worry about the secondary screen draining your laptop battery anytime soon.
The 16T20E2 also comes equipped with Mini HDMI, to ensure compatibility with older laptops that may not feature a Type-C port or support DisplayPort Alt Mode. AOC also houses two 1W speakers for onboard audio output, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack for private listening.

Thanks to its thin 9mm design and light 1kg weight, portability is a real boon. Judging by the pictures and dimensions, I can envisage the entire screen slipping easily into a laptop sleeve, though there’s arguably no need as a 3H scratch-resistant screen protector and magnetic cover are included as standard, with the latter doubling as an adjustable stand.
The AOC 16T20E2 will be available from March 2026 at £89.99 MSRP, backed by a three-year warranty. For that, you get the display plus three 1.5m cables; USB-C to C, USB-C to A, and a Mini HDMI. A ready-to-go bundle for hybrid workers.
