XFX Radeon RX 9070 XT Swift
“There’s a new midrange marvel in town.” Read our review.
On Amazon US, the price of XFX Radeon RX 9070 XT Swift has fallen to $719.99. That’s still a fair whack over MSRP, but the model remains the cheapest version of AMD’s graphics card on the storefront.
There’s a lot to love about Radeon RX 9070 XT. AMD has equipped its midrange offering with plenty of VRAM, to the tune of 16GB. Combine this memory capacity with the impressively powerful Navi 44 GPU in its full-fat configuration, and you have a pixel pusher that has plenty of rendering grunt.

When it comes to gaming performance, Radeon RX 9070 XT handily outpaces RTX 5070 and nips at the heels of RTX 5070 Ti. Unlike prior generations, AMD is keeping pace with Nvidia in both rasterised and ray traced rendering. Better still, FSR 4 upscaling provides comparable upscaling to DLSS, welcomingly plugging another gap.

As the benchmark charts above demonstrate, Radeon RX 9070 XT shines brightest at QHD. However, the graphics card can go the extra mile and handle 4K gaming in many instances. That 16GB buffer truly comes in clutch at higher resolutions, particularly when ray traced effects and high resolution textures are in play.
Note that these charts come from our day-one review of Radeon RX 9070 XT. Evidence suggests that the graphics card may actually be even faster now, thanks to game optimisations and driver updates.
Speaking to the quality of this particular Radeon RX 9070 XT, it’s an entry-level cooler but XFX Swift certainly has the chops to handle AMD’s GPU. The shroud’s three fans and sizeable heatsink keep operating temperatures in check, and you’ll power the card through two PCIe eight-pin connectors.
