MSI introduces new PSU breakthroughs in 12V-2×6 safety alongside the magnificent Maestro case

This year, MSI is going all in on safety and DIY friendliness to make users’ experience as easy and stress-free as possible.

MSI has unveiled a suite of new PC hardware at CES 2026, designed to improve the initial installation and subsequent usage for both experienced enthusiasts and first-time novices. Be it a new build or an upgrade, the brand’s innovative solutions aim to make DIY systems more accessible to the masses, with a special focus on safety. The lineup also includes some impressive and fancy-looking parts, such as a triple glass-panel case, screen-equipped coolers, and power monitoring-capable PSUs.

PSUs

Starting with the power source, we have MSI’s latest MPG AixxxxTS PCIE5 PSUs, designed to feed flagship GPUs and CPUs with up to 1,600W of power. These Titanium efficiency-rated beasts are said to boast significantly enhanced +12V power stability thanks to a robust electrical design made from high-performance SiC MOSFETs and 100% Japanese 105°C capacitors. Both the MPG Ai1600TS and Ai1300TS PCIE5 feature dual native 12V-2×6 connectors, making them perfect for dual-GPU machines or those rocking an RTX 5090 Lightning.

In addition to meeting high-end systems’ power demands, these PSUs also come equipped with MSI’s exclusive GPU Safeguard+ protection on both 12V-2×6 ports, ensuring advanced monitoring and active protection on modern graphics cards. Safeguard+ is designed specifically to solve the anxiety around 12V-2×6 cables, tracking down the current balance on each wire and informing the user with a buzzing sound and on-screen alert whenever a deviation is detected.

With Safeguard+, actually, the PSU can even shut down the system if the user isn’t available to take matters in hand, potentially saving the machine from a catastrophic failure.

This protection feature is also fully integrated into MSI’s Center software, where you can view the current power delivery state plus a log of what went wrong. Lower-tier PSUs will get a slightly downgraded, cheaper version called Safeguard, which lacks software monitoring. This variant will be found on models such as the Platinum-rated MAG A1200PLS PCIE5 and MAG A1000PLS PCIE5. The latter focus on long-term durability and exceptionally quiet operation thanks to their 135mm FDB fans.

Cases

In this category, MSI is proudly presenting the appropriately named MEG Maestro 900R case, boasting a 180° panoramic view over the hardware inside. The Maestro gives you an uninterrupted view over your components thanks to its triple glass side panels that curve gently around the corners without including any metal support that would distort the view.

The chassis is constructed from premium materials to ensure rigidity despite the lack of support on one side of the frame. As you can guess, the Maestro is made with custom water-cooling support in mind, offering what looks like four locations that can accommodate 360mm radiators, two of which can be rotated to further give the build a refined look. The bottom one even includes a removable cover that gives the system a premium bearing by hiding cables from view.

Building a new system on it should also be easy thanks to the removable motherboard tray, letting you install your fancy hardware comfortably. And in case – pun intended – you were wondering, yes, vertical GPU mounting is also supported, as well as multi-GPU setups. With the Maestro 900R, building a visual masterpiece has never been this easy.

Coolers

Now that you got yourself the fancy Maestro case, you will need a worthy cooling apparatus that can both keep your CPU fresh and make your build shine. For that, look no further than the MEG Coreliquid E15 360, which features a stunning 6.67in 2K curved OLED display. Its 110° curvature delivers a wide viewing angle, perfect for those 3D visual effects that make them feel like coming out of the screen. Understandably, if you prefer something more practical, you can always display system status info like temperature.

Performance-wise, the Coreliquid E15 360 won’t shy away from its competitors thanks to its upgraded 31mm-thick radiator – significantly increasing the cooling surface area – and TriFlow reverse fan that is designed to reduce turbulence and improve airflow efficiency. Installation is also streamlined using MSI’s EZ Conn interface, which consolidates fan control, ARGB lighting, and USB signals into a single connector.

Those who prefer the higher reliability of air cooling aren’t left aside either as MSI has introduced a brand-new lineup at CES. The MPG Corefrozr AP15 and MPG Corefrozr AP17 are engineered for high-performance cooling, combining an advanced thermal design with modern display/monitoring integration.

Both provide real-time system monitoring info directly through their integrated screens, letting you check the state of your hardware at a glance. The Corefrozr AP15 features a copper base optimised for AMD’s X3D processors and carries six heatpipes, while the flagship dual-tower Corefrozr AP17 elevates performance and style with its nickel-plated copper base, eight heatpipes, and larger screen.
