With Nvidia reportedly on the brink of officially announcing its RTX 4000 Super cards, leaks and rumours are spreading like wildfire. The latest of which comes from Moore’s Law is Dead on YouTube revealing potential pricing for each model.

If we’re to believe the rumour, Nvidia plans to launch the following:

  • RTX 4080 Super at $999
  • RTX 4070 Ti Super at $799
  • RTX 4070 Super at $599

MLID says that these prices come directly from his sources at Nvidia. He also adds that the original RTX 4070 will keep its official $549 MSRP, while the other non-Super models will enter end of life. Sources working for distributors support these figures, too. MLID also indicates that samples are already in the hands of some press outlets and influencers.

Regarding performance, based on a CUDA core count increase and other parameters, MLID estimates the following:

  • The RTX 4080 Super will reportedly be around 6% faster, bringing a 27% value increase.
  • The RTX 4070 Ti Super will reportedly be around 22% faster, offering a 22% value increase.
  • The RTX 4070 Super will reportedly be around 13% faster, with a 13% value increase.

That said, his sources at Nvidia talked about a 5% increase for RTX 4080 Super and 15% for the others. Alongside the CUDA core count upgrade, RTX 4080 Super might feature faster VRAM too. Though, the VRAM capacity of RTX 4070 Super unfortunately remains unchanged. Nvidia may have missed an opportunity here. At least Nvidia is reportedly upping RTX 4070 Ti Super to 16GB.

However, while RTX 4080 Super is using 24Gbps GDDR6X VRAM, it will only be running at 23Gbps. The reason seems to be that Nvidia is authorising brands to reemploy RTX 4080 PCBs for the Super variant. And, since said PCBs have trouble with faster memory, the decision was made to limit the speed. This also means that custom graphics cards could be set to take advantage of the untapped speed.

Regardless, Nvidia should officially announce these models soon, so stay tuned for the official specs and prices.
