PC hardware specialist be quiet! has expanded its peripheral portfolio with a new range of premium gaming mice, rocking top-end specs and what looks like excellent engineering. Designed for maximum performance and comfort, the new rodents boast an ultralight construction, alongside top-notch components, with be quiet! aiming to deliver true wireless freedom without compromise.
Joining the Dark Perk, the new Dark Perk Ergo and Dark Perk Sym are nearly identical to each other, except for their external shape, which targets different users. As its name implies, the Dark Perk Ergo features an ergonomic shape measuring 120 x 66 x 40mm, designed specifically for right-handed users. It’s sculpted to fit naturally in your hand, which makes it ideal for a relaxed grip or long gaming sessions. On the other hand, the Dark Perk Sym has a symmetric shell that’s suitable for both left and right-handed users, measuring 123 x 66 x 39mm.

Regardless of the model you choose, you will find a high-end PixArt PAW3950 sensor, tuned for precision and speed, with sensitivity up to 32,000 DPI, along with an 8,000Hz polling rate. These speeds are achievable both in wired and wireless modes. Furthermore, be quiet! has equipped each model with a Nordic nRF54H20 MCU, with the company claiming they offer up to 110 hours of continuous gameplay at 1,000Hz polling. That’s all while weighing just 55g, putting these mice on the lighter end of the scale, where they compete with the likes of the Corsair Sabre v2 Pro Ultralight Wireless and Endorfy Liv. Add the 100% PTFE skates with rounded edges, and you should get effortless aiming and tracking.
Speed isn’t all the Dark Perk series has to offer either, according to be quiet! Whether you go for the Ergo or Sym, you will find optical Omron D2FP-FN2 switches, providing fast and responsive actuations, combined with a soft feel that should make daily usage pleasant. All five buttons are fully programmable via the company’s IO Center app and Web portal, in addition to the usual DPI, polling rates, and RGB lighting customisations. These settings are saved to the mouse’s onboard memory, allowing you to swap machines without needing to retune your mouse. There is also a dedicated DPI switch if you like changing parameters on the fly.

‘Our move into gaming mice had one goal: to deliver an extremely lightweight mouse that helps users compete at the highest levels of the leaderboards,’ said Aaron Licht, be quiet! CEO. ‘With the Dark Perk Ergo and Dark Perk Sym, we’re offering two clear choices for competitive gamers – one ergonomic, one symmetrical – both built with the precision, comfort, and performance our community expects from us.’
The Dark Perk Ergo and Dark Perk Sym will be available from 3 February 2026 at $109.90 / €109.90, respectively. You can expect a full review on Club386 detailing the strengths and weaknesses of this new series shortly, so stay tuned.
