UGREEN has today introduced the NASync DXP GT, a new NAS lineup built for smart home users, content creators, and those with growing storage demands. With its extensive capabilities and fast connectivity, the GT Line up takes the usefulness of traditional home storage and pushes it to the next level.
The GT Line up includes two models, the NASync DXP4800 GT and NASync DXP2800 GT. Both are powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 (4-core / 8-thread) processor and 8GB of DDR4 memory. They are designed for continuous 24/7 operation, which makes them ideal for data storage, home automation, and camera surveillance. Whether you need one for a quick file transfer, media transcoding/streaming, or docker containers, the GT series is up to the task. Note that ECC memory is supported if you care about data integrity.

The main difference between the two models is in storage capacity and networking connectivity. The bigger NASync DXP4800 GT comes equipped with four bays supporting 2.5in and 3.5in drives, alongside a complement of two USB 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 2.0, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, one SD card slot, and two 10GbE LAN. On the other hand, the NASync DXP2800 GT loses two drive bays, one LAN port, plus the SD card reader, leaving two 2.5in/3.5in bays, two USB 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 2.0, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, and one 10GbE LAN. That’s still a very decent amount of connectivity, if you ask me.
Both also carry two internal M.2 2280 (80mm) slots supporting 8TB SSDs at Gen 3 x2 speed – which is about 2,000MB/s – bringing the maximum storage capacity to a considerable 144TB on the DXP4800 GT (when paired with four 32TB HDDs) and 80TB on the DXP2800 GT.

But that’s not all, as the GT Line up allows greater flexibility when it comes to drive choice, providing more useful combinations between SATA, U.2, or M.2 drives, which is ideal for those wanting to configure a tiered data storage. For instance, you can use HDDs for long-term archiving, U.2 NVMe SSDs for frequently-accessed files, and the fast M.2 SSDs for actively-accessed media.
All models are powered by the UGOS Pro operating system, offering a plethora of user-friendly features, such as live monitoring, smart playback, plus event detection for surveillance cameras and automated backups. Speaking of which, you can easily backup your USB drives with a single click, meaning no need to launch the management app.
To put it simply, the GT Line up aims to replace paid cloud services with a private, locally-controlled storage platform capable of satisfying the demands of regular users, content creators, or professionals alike. All that said, if you want something bigger or more performant, you can always opt for the NASync iDX6011 Pro, powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 7 255H processor and 64GB of RAM.
The NASync DXP4800 GT is set to launch at €659.99 / £589.99 MSRP, followed by the DXP2800 GT at €509.99 / £459.99 MSRP. A 10% launch discount will be available on both models via the UGREEN official store and Amazon.
