At long last, QNAP is preparing to launch new consumer NAS systems, and we’ve had the pleasure of seeing them in the flesh at Computex 2026.

This new QNAP NAS marks the arrival of a refershed design language. The TS-h265 is octagonal in shape, and sports a bronze and dark grey colour scheme. Drive bays now hide behind a large, unclippable front panel.
The large front panel unclips to reveal the drive bays underneath, and securely clicks back into place (you put it back in at a diagonal).
QNAP has chosen the Intel N150 to power the TS-h265, a quad-core processor that should provide a substantial performance improvement over prior offerings. Better still, this chip won’t include soldered RAM. Instead, the NAS will support expandable DDR5 memory, which should prove all the more invaluable once DRAM prices finally begin to fall.

In terms of storage, the TS-h265 arrives with two 3.5 bays up front. However, you can supplement this with M.2 drives via two slots on the right-hand side of the chassis, behind a removable panel. Should you want more hard drives, though, QNAP is also offering a larger four-bay NAS, dubbed the TS-h465, with otherwise identical specifications.
The NAS sports dual 2.5GbE network ports out of the box. However, it’s possible to increase speeds all the way up to 10Gb/s, by installing an add-in card into the included PCIe slot. Rounding off connectivity, the TS h-265 also features 10Gb/s USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as dual HDMI 2.2 outputs.
We aren’t able to confirm a price or release date for the TS-h265 yet, but QNAP tells us that we can expect the NAS to be available for purchase later this year.
