Gigabyte is busily preparing to support the launch of Intel’s upcoming Nova Lake processors with fresh motherboards, and it seems the company may have quite the selection of models in the works. According to a recent Eurasian Economic Union database filing, the firm has registered a large number of model names ahead of the new Core Ultra CPUs.
Right off the bat, it’s worth remembering that trademark filings don’t equate to guaranteed releases, nor do they provide any indication of when a model will launch. Nonetheless, even if only half these motherboards materialise over the next few years, it’s clear Gigabyte is keen to support Intel Nova Lake in a big way.
The Eurasian Economic Union filing in question contains registrations for some B760 motherboards in addition to the avalanche of Z990 boards. While there are 40 entries present of the latter chipset, filtering out for duplicates sees the count fall to a respectable 24.

The Eurasian Economic Union entries don’t reveal any specifications, but we can presume some details based on existing Z890 models. For instance, we can expect to see the firm offer an E-ATX flagship via the Aorus Z990 Xtreme. Meanwhile, the Z990M Elite WiFi 7 is likely to give micro-ATX some love, with the Z990 I Pro doing the same for mini-ITX.
Of course, the majority of the lineup will likely stick to the ATX form factor. It looks like we’ll also see a return of Gigabyte’s wooden accented designs with the Z990 Aero Wood and Aero Dark Wood, with the Z990 Stealth Duo X servicing prospective back connect builds.
Gigabyte previously teased an unnamed Z990 motherboard at Computex, unbeknownst to all but those with discerning eyes. We’re also seeing other manufacturers such as ASRock prepare for Nova Lake, with its motherboard model names appearing prior to launch.
We should get more details on what the Z990 chipset and motherboards will offer in Q1 2027, if Nova Lake release rumours hold true. I’d keep your eyes on CES for a potential announcement, if not outright launch.
