Arctic launches Liquid Freezer III Pro in 280mm and 420mm flavours

One of our favourite CPU coolers just got a 280mm and 420mm makeover.

Arctic is expanding its latest AIO liquid cooler series with new, larger models. Liquid Freezer III Pro 280mm and 420mm coolers are set to push performance bar higher than their 240mm and 360mm siblings, while keeping costs under control.

Although Liquid Freezer III Pro will now be available in two additional sizes, Arctic is adding six models to the menu:

  • Liquid Freezer III Pro 280
  • Liquid Freezer III Pro 280 A-RGB
  • Liquid Freezer III Pro 280 A-RGB White
  • Liquid Freezer III Pro 420
  • Liquid Freezer III Pro 420 A-RGB
  • Liquid Freezer III Pro 420 A-RGB White

Outside of radiator size, the difference between these variants is their colour and inclusion of A-RGB fans.

Liquid Freezer III Pro 280 models come with a 317mm x 138mm radiator fitting two 140mm fans. Meanwhile, the larger 420mm variants are 458mm in length with the same height and depth. Regardless of size, they each come with 140mm P14 Pro fans.

Seeing how the Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 managed to outperform the Liquid Freezer III 420 non-Pro despite its lower radiator surface area, we have big hopes for Liquid Freezer III 420 Pro. Could we see sub-90°C temperatures from our Core i9-13900K test build at 253W? It’s likely.

What that in mind, all models are identical when it comes to platform compatibility and features, offering support for Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700, as well as AMD AM5 and AM4 sockets. The 450mm tubing should be long enough for any installation orientation, and six years warranty offers welcome peace of mind.
