Dell unveils Latitude 9330 professional 2-in-1 laptop

Powered by vPro, Latitude gets a makeover.

Dell Technologies announces Latitude 9330 professional laptops featuring the latest Intel vPro CPUs.

The Latitude 9330 is a 13in 2-in-1 machine aimed at privacy and security whilst being the smallest of 9000 series range at just 296.35mm (W) x 208.42mm (D) x 14.1mm (H) and 1.27kg.

A true thin-and-light

Powered by up to an Intel 12th Gen Core i7 processor with integrated Iris Xe graphics and 32GB of LPDDR5 5,200MT/s memory, the specifications are, as expected, up to date.

Designed for the professional environment first and foremost, storage is taken care of by an M.2 2230 SSD up to 1TB capacity and a 256GB self-encrypting one, with preinstalled Windows 11 Home or Pro, plus a ‘downgrade’ to Windows 10 image if needed, as many business have not yet moved over to Windows 11.

A 16:10 QHD+ (2560×1600) touch display with 500-nits brightness, 100 per cent sRGB and Comfort View Plus (Low Blue Light) is a nice touch, especially the aspect ratio that, we feel, is a boon for productivity. Lest you forget the active pen support which can get handy.

Professional workhorse

To protect your work, a whole heap of privacy and security-related technologies are present. These optional security hardware authentication bundles include a touch fingerprint reader in the power button with Control Vault 3.0, face IR camera (Windows Hello compliant) with ExpressSign-in 1.0 proximity sensor, face IR camera (Windows Hello compliant) with ExpressSign-in 2.0 camera sensing, and SafeShutter electro-mechanical camera shutter.

Audio revolves around two top plus two bottom-firing speakers and four AI-based noise-cancelling microphones. I/O, meanwhile, contains two Thunderbolt 4 (with power delivery and DisplayPort), one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2, an external uSIM card tray option, and an audio jack. Plus there’s Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 and 4G/5G broadbands.

Finally, a three-cell 50Whr Battery with ExpressCharge 2.0, plus a choice between Type-C 60W, 65W or 90W adapters, allows for up to 80 per cent charge within 40 minutes.

Hardware warranty is a standard three-year, plus an optional three-to-five years extension.

Latitude 9330 will be available worldwide in June 2022, but pricing is still to be confirmed. A tidy little machine for on-the-road warriors.
