HAVN has showcased a custom variant of its HS 420 PC case, boasting AMG PETRONAS F1 Team colours and branding. Designed in close collaboration with the Mercedes AMG F1 team, this variant keeps all that made the original great, topping it with a new, fancier skin.

Reportedly loved by the Mercedes F1 team, this special edition case has all you need to build a performant gaming or workstation PC. It supports a variety of storage, fan, and radiator combinations, in addition to portable screens for extra flair. You’ll also find adjustable GPU support, filtered bottom and rear intakes, and a separated PSU section within the chassis. The latter sits vertically inside its dedicated compartment with access to fresh air. The main parts are visible through a continuous panoramic glass panel covering the front and side, engineered with a small radius to minimise visual distortion.
Speaking of fresh air, the bottom intake feeds the graphics card cold air, which should help improve temperatures, compared to a classic front intake layout. Up to three fans can populate the location where the PSU generally sits, blasting air directly on the graphics card. The bottom rear fan also comes with a filter and thus can augment the GPU’s access to fresh air. Even the side panel behind the motherboard is fully open, using elongated opening patterns and filtering mesh.

You will also find plenty of rubberised openings for cable routing, allowing for clean and discreet cable management, as well as a hub capable of managing six fans. While you can pack up to 11 blowers inside, ideally, you would configure this case with four intake fans on the lower half and four exhaust fans on the upper half to create a continuous stream of cold and filtered air.
Since this special edition is based on the HS 420, we expect it to maintain the same hardware support, which includes up to three 420mm radiators, 277mm wide E-ATX motherboards, 185mm high CPU coolers, 480mm long graphics cards, and 220mm PSUs.
My only concern about this design stems from the recessed I/O shield. This approach could make peripherals and USB device installation a bit fiddly, as you need to squeeze your fingers in a tight space.

If you’re an F1 fan, mark your calendar for December 2026 as that’s when this case will hit store shelves. While not confirmed, December 6 seems like a sensible date, given that’s when the final race of the 2026 Formula 1 season will take place. Don’t worry about missing out on this case, like I did the HS 420 DOOM: The Dark Ages chassis, as this isn’t a limited edition model.
Assuming Mercedes’ F1 team continues its advance toward becoming the champion, despite the recent rule changes, with Antonelli behind the wheel, this chassis will likely find many interested buyers.
