It’s that time of the year when each brand is so excited to unveil its latest products and features. While Samsung attended CES 2024 and we saw some foldable teasers, the real deals will follow in Galaxy Unpacked 2024. Fortunately, Samsung’s own event is just around the corner, so brace yourselves. This instalment is all about AI.

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2024 press conference is scheduled for 10:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 18:00 GMT on January 17. You’ll be able to follow the show live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel. Expect the brand to announce its latest premium Galaxy products, this time with a focus on AI-powered innovations.
Samsung says “a revolutionary mobile experience is coming. Get ready to discover a new era full of possibilities with the latest Galaxy innovations, designed to transform how you live, connect and create. The new Galaxy S series will set a higher standard for the most intelligent mobile experience yet.”
According to leaked photos and specs, we can expect the usual Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models. The latter is said to offer a titanium frame, like what Apple did with its iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
What was last year?
Last year, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phone offering the largest cover screen in the series. Z Fold 5 shortly followed with a bigger offering that harnesses the power of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. It also showed the new Galaxy Watch 6 with health tracking and analysis helping you to improve your sleep. Not to forget the IP68-rated Galaxy Tab S9 boasting AMOLED 2X screens refreshing at 120Hz.
Let’s just cross our fingers in hopes of Samsung releasing new features and technologies this year, too. The brand runs the risk of AI fatigue unless it can prove it’s something that benefits customers. Instead, I’m angling for larger batteries or better cameras, personally.
