Hyte debuts Y50 RGB PC case, offering flashy aquarium aesthetics for $99

Arriving with four A-RGB fans and a panoramic tempered glass side panel design, the Y50 RGB will please both eyes and wallets at $99.

Hyte is launching a new, more-affordable addition to its aquarium-style panoramic case lineup, dubbed the Y50 RGB. Launching at $99.99, the chassis is the least expensive in the company’s stack, but still comes with plenty of aesthetic niceties.

Like the Y70 and Y60, the Y50 RGB arrives with a panoramic, triple-panel finish, each of which are individually removable to enable easier cleaning and re-installation. Measuring at 473mm (L) x 288mm (W) x 461mm (H), the case offers 64L of volume, and is about as big as the Hyte X50.

The Y50 RGB is spacious enough to accommodate E-ATX motherboards, up to 250mm wide. Additionally, the case also supports back-connect boards. We saw a bunch of builds sporting Gigabyte Stealth components, but Hyte tells us you can expect seamless compatibility with Asus BTF and MSI PZ parts.

As a cost-saving measure, Hyte sadly doesn’t include a vertical GPU mount with the Y50 RGB. However, there is space enough to fit chonky graphics cards up to 360mm in length, in addition to 160mm tall CPU coolers. You’ll also find six drive bays in the rear chamber, four of which are compatible with 3.5in HDDs.

While vertical GPU mounts are out, the Y50 RGB still offers plenty of value with the inclusion of several A-RGB fans. Hyte includes a 120mm exhaust with each case, as well as a 360mm reverse-blade unibody array for instake.

Naturally, there’s room to expand cooling further via additional fans or water cooling. The top of the Y50 RGB supports radiators up to 410mm long and 46mm thick, and you can also fit two 120mm fans up to 32mm thick down below.

You’ll be able to pick up the Y50 RGB in a variety of colours, including: Snow White, Pitch Black, Black Cherry, Strawberry Milk, and Taro Milk. Hyte packages each colourway with either white or black fans, depending on which complements the paint job best.
