AMD is seemingly planning yet another 3D V-Cache-infused processor for AM5 users, offering six cores and 96MB of L3 cache. Dubbed the Ryzen 5 7500X3D, the chip was listed by a UK retailer under the OPN code 100-000001904. This confirms that it is indeed a new model, which is likely to be officially announced during CES 2026.
Based on its name, Ryzen 5 7500X3D should slot at the bottom of AMD’s X3D lineup, just below the Ryzen 5 7600X3D. It is expected to join the previously rumoured Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 sometime next year, giving budget gamers a strong option that will extract the maximum performance out of low- and mid-range GPUs.

Though the listing page didn’t share much in terms of specs, we can extrapolate based on AMD’s current product segmentation. Being a Ryzen 5 model, the 7500X3D will most likely be a 6-core/12-thread chip, clocked slightly lower than the 7600X3D. 4.3GHz to 4.5GHz boost frequency seems about right, giving the 7600X3D a slight advantage without hindering the 7500X3D too much.
Understandably, the part that most gamers care about is its extra layer of 3D V-Cache, adding 64MB of L3 to the CCD’s (Core Complex Die) built-in 32 MB. In other words, the 7500X3D will probably pack the same amount of L3 cache as the 7600X3D, and the 7800X3D/9800X3D for that matter, which will come in quite handy in cache-sensitive tasks, such as games.
| Model | Cores | Max Clock | L3 Cache | TDP |
| Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 | 16 Zen 5 | 5.6GHz | 192MB | 200W |
| Ryzen 9 9950X3D | 16 Zen 5 | 5.7GHz | 128MB | 170W |
| Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 8 Zen 5 | 5.2GHz | 96MB | 120W |
| Ryzen 5 7600X3D | 6 Zen 4 | 4.7GHz | 96MB | 65W |
| Ryzen 5 7500X3D | 6 Zen 4 | TBC | 96MB | 65W |
Considering the small difference between the 7600X3D and 7800X3D, the 7500X3D shouldn’t trail the 7600X3D by more than 5%. And this while gaming at 1080p resolution using a high-end GPU. Switching to 1440p or opting for a mid-range GPU – which is likely what most 7500X3D owners would do – should nullify this difference, making it a great option for any build that isn’t rocking the absolute best GPUs.
Regarding pricing, the 7500X3D will probably target below £250, since the 7600X3D sits at £280. Around £200 to £220 would be great, putting it within the reach of many more gamers. That said, it’s unclear whether this is yet another region-specific or a worldwide launch. We hope for the latter as it would mean AMD has good stock to satisfy demand. A demand that we expect to be great, if priced correctly.
