MSI has unveiled the world’s first triple-mode QD-OLED monitor, powered by Samsung Display’s latest 5th-gen panel. Unlike its competitors, which only offer two combinations of resolution and refresh rates, the MPG OLED 322URDX36 adds a third, more balanced one in between them.
Set to be displayed at Computex 2026, the MPG OLED 322URDX36 is a 31.5in monitor boasting a 360Hz refresh in its native 4K mode. This represents a 50% speed increase over existing 240Hz 4K monitors, which should improve fast motion clarity and reduce click-to-photon latency. Well, that’s assuming your PC can render 360fps at 4K.
But that’s not the only special feature about this monitor. Unlike its competitors, the MPG OLED 322URDX36 can be switched to two other modes that offer higher refresh rates at the cost of resolution. MSI refers to these resolutions as 2K at 520Hz and FHD at a whopping 680Hz. This makes it faster than the QHD 500Hz panel found in MSI’s MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50, which is still considered blazing fast, without locking you into a single resolution.

The MPG OLED 322URDX36 looks as though it’s powered by the same QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel found on Samsung’s upcoming 4K 360Hz QD-OLED monitor, but with a third in-between mode for those who want a higher refresh yet prefer to maintain a sharp enough resolution.
There’s a question mark about how it will handle scaling, though. We assume that 4K means 3840×2160 and 2K refers to 2560×1440, but if that’s the case, the former resolution doesn’t divide equally into the latter with integers, meaning it will either need scaling to fill the full screen, or you’ll need black bars around the image with integer scaling. Either way, it doesn’t look set to be a true 2560×1440 display – we’ll be really interested to see how MSI has handled this conundrum.
On top of its higher speed at 4K resolution, this panel also brings higher brightness, sharper text with minimal fringing, thanks to a revamped RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout, and overall great motion clarity.
MSI claims that this new panel can reach up to 1,500nits peak brightness, which should result in an impactful HDR experience. Those who prefer more accurate black level luminance will enjoy the higher VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, which is perfect for dark viewing environments on-screen.
Competitive gamers aren’t forgotten either, as on top of the super-fast 680Hz mode, this monitor also boasts ClearMR 18000 certification, indicating visuals free from ghosting. To put it in perspective, this rating is just a step below the best rating of ClearMR 21000.

To help take advantage of all these enhancements regardless of environmental conditions, MSI is equipping the MPG OLED 322URDX36 with its new DarkArmor Film, which is said to improve black levels by 40% and scratch resistance by 2.5 times.
Being a high-end display, you will also find MSI’s AI Care Sensor, which detects when the user is away to turn off the screen and protect its OLED panel, prolonging its life. Likewise, the latest connections are on offer, including DisplayPort 2.1a (UHBR20) alongside USB-C with video and 98W power delivery capability.
While MSI has yet to share pricing and a release date for the MPG OLED 322URDX36, you can expect a high price for such a premium package. We’re hoping to hear more about this monitor at Computex, where we’ll be reporting from the show floor.
