MSI has presented its upcoming custom-themed graphics card in collaboration with Blizzard. The card takes inspiration from the World of Warcraft Midnight expansion set to release next year and will be based on Nvidia’s Blackwell RTX 50 Series GPUs.
In the middle of a new game announcements at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, MSI has unveiled its Nvidia RTX World of Warcraft Midnight Edition graphics card. This limited-edition card is set to follow the colours of WOW’s pending DLC, highlighting the fight between Void and Light.

The card seems to be based on the Gaming Trio White design, featuring a triple-fan cooler with RGB strips cutting through the front shroud. Evidently, to make it represent the clash between Light and Void, MSI paints one side dark blue with a quite nice brushed ink effect where light meets darkness. The fan on the Void side is replaced with a black one, contrasting with the remaining white fans. Additionally, the fan hubs have been ornamented with WOW logos instead of the original MSI ones.
That said, this doesn’t seem to be the final design of the card, as MSI is currently probing users’ preferences, where anyone can vote for the side/colour they prefer. Since the brand didn’t give much information about the possible designs, we can only speculate.
MSI could focus on the side that collects the most votes, i.e. full white or full dark blue with black fans. Since this would make it too basic for such a special collaboration, what seems more plausible is a design like the preview exhibited at Gamescom, where the card doesn’t pick sides, which is also what I prefer.
But, what would be even better is for MSI to take the vote percentages and reflect them in the Void and Light portions of the card. For example, as we speak, the Void side has collected 65% of the votes, thus having a card be two-thirds blue and one-third white would be great.

Unfortunately, MSI didn’t confirm the technical details of this special edition. Logically, it could take this occasion to leverage one of the RTX 50 Super GPUs, rumoured to come next year. These are said to boast 50% more memory, higher power limits, and slightly tweaked GPUs in some instances.
While MSI didn’t share an exact availability date, considering that World of Warcraft’s Midnight expansion is scheduled for June 30, 2026, you can bet that’s when this special edition card will release. As for the price, you can expect a little extra over the basic version of the card, which retails for £1,219 in the case of an RTX 5080 Gaming Trio White.
