There’s an art to building your own gaming PC that’s immensely rewarding. Similarly satisfying, however, is finding a good prebuilt that’s ready to go right off the bat. No faff, just plug and play – after you’ve spent an hour or two downloading the games, that is. As luck would have it, this Acer Predator Orion 7000 system has fallen to its best price ever on Amazon US.
The current $3,479.99 price will surely get some knees jerking, but that’s $1,020 (23%) lower than it usually is. What you get for your money is one of the top PCs out there right now. That’s after Nvidia just released its RTX 40 Super Series refresh, too.
Most of the cost comes from the GPU. After all, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 is the best graphics card in 2024 and usually sets you back $2,000 without any other components. We’ve tested it ourselves, and it’s the only one in Team Green’s current range to earn a full five stars. It’s just that good.
This time around, it’s paired with Intel Core i9-13900KF. The CPU is a generation old but still a top performer, adding $536 to the overall cost on a good day. We’ve tested this processor, too, giving the standard K version four stars. The only difference between that and KF is that the ‘F’ shows this one has no integrated graphics. Fortunately, you won’t need any with a 4090 in your corner.
There’s plenty of storage for everything you need. The 1TB Gen 4 NVMe SSD is a prime place for your operating system and games, keeping loading times slim. The 2TB hard drive is good muscle for bigger files or anything you want to back up. On average, this combination is around $130.
That leaves around $814 off the current price to cover the AIO CPU cooler, the PC case, fans, power supply, motherboard, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and the labour of piecing it all together. To sweeten the deal, Acer even chucks in a keyboard and mouse bundle, so the only thing you’re missing is a monitor. It’s safe to say you’re saving a good chunk with this gaming PC discount.
